  • PTO Won't disengage
  • This old Jubilee is new to me. The Lady whom owned him before, had it for two weeks short of 21 years. She never used the PTO or the Brush Hogg. Hooked up the Hogg. It runs all the time. Put your foot on the clutch it stops. Move the PTO lever no change when you let out the cultch.

Please tell me this is not right. I can't believe that this is right.
Please Help. These old tractors are new to me, Old machines are Not.

  • Remove the PTO shift lever cover plate that Bruce mentioned and see if the shift lever is connected to part# 720:

  • Step on the clutch and it stops is typical.
Move the lever and nothing is not.
I would start by removing the cover and see if it is broken or just out of position.

DO NOT STICK YOUR HAND INTO THE TRACTOR WHILE IT IS RUNNING.

DO NOT STICK YOUR HAND INTO THE TRACTOR WHILE IT IS RUNNING.

Unless you have a desire to be call 'stubby' if you live.
Others, far smarter that me, should be along shortly.
