  • Starter button push rod worn
  • Good morning: My 1941 9N is getting tricky to start. I believe the pushrod and other parts from the starter pushbutton to the starter switch are worn. The pushbutton looks like a foot button, in front of gear shift, on top of transmission. Switch is sort of under the battery, If I recall correctly. (I am not near the tractor at the moment). I don't know if repair manual would cover this, someone else may know. Thanks for any help!

  • If you decide to replace the switch, Dennis Carpenter has it along with the gasket.

  • Take the starter switch off (under the battery) and glue a penny or nickle to the button and put it back in place.
