Jeff, when spending my early and teen years at an uncle and aunt's farm up in Houston County, my uncle was a pine forest logger. My cousin and I would skid the logs from where they were felled up to the log truck loading site and then with the use of pine "skid poles" attached to the trailer bolsters, we'd also load the logs onto the log trailers, using both an 8N Ford and a TO 30 Ferguson. The three point arms on the tractors had only the standard 11 hole draw bars with two log grabs attached to each bar to pull the logs by and no other specialized attachment. Those set-ups worked very well for as long as I can remember.
