Make sure to clean the threads on the tank with a thread chaser to get any residue left if sealant was used. Obtain Gasoila E-seal compound and apply to the new bowl-valve assembly. I encountered some assemblies that allowed a trickle of gas to flow through with the valve shut off. Unfortunately you won’t know until after installation and put some gas in. Finally, to ensure removal of as much gas as possible, I use a siphon down in bottom of the tank. Good luck and let me know how you make out…
