No fire

I was getting no fire from my front mount distributor, traced The problem to the spring contact being grounded Because of the fiber insulating washer that the brass screw runs though. Zane posted something a while back about making an insulator to make it work. Does anyone have information on what that is? I appreciate it in advance.
