Sure looks like a flathead Ford six to me. There ARE a few of the 254 CID versions out there, because I have seen one. Most likely, though, it is the 95HP 226 CID block.
There should be a data plate at the left front corner of the block. Years ago I made a post over in the history section telling how to spot the 254's among the more numerous 226's. Frankly, I only ever saw one 254 and I forget what I posted.
Would be nice to see a pic of the right side. As was previously posted, a fair number of the Funks are missing the governor.
