The 226 engine called the Hurricane was produced by Continental. It was used in everything from forklifts to air compressors and all kinds of construction equipment. It was also used in Jeeps and Kaiser automobiles. It was even supercharged in the 1955 Kaiser. The engine is easily identified by the location of the distributor. It stands straight up and passes through the cylinder head.Lots of these engines were produced and had a reputation of being "bulletproof" Sam.
