Sad but true, that ps system was failure prone from the beginning and I'm pretty sure no new parts are available to repair it.
It was not one of Ford's better ideas.
The next generation was much better with a heavy tie rod and had the hydraulic actuator in the steering column. At least the tractor could be half fast steered if the engine quit.
Someone like Feron or Tony Jacobs might have some used parts you could buy to fix it or else you could change out the whole front end from a parts tractor.
My pal Ken sold a complete front end and steering for one of those tractors to a fellow from Michigan who after several attempts to repair his cable steering threw in the towel and just replaced it.
Tony or Feron (who I haven't seen in a long time) could likely be found over on the YT Ford Board. Or someone here might have contact info for them.
