These seal retainers are available new from Just 8N's or Dennis Carpenter or other vendors, they run around $40-50 new. John Smith is great supplier and he will get it to you quickly. I have removed and re-installed one in my 39 9N with the engine in the tractor and the crankshaft in place. Just used a ball peen hammer and a punch to tap it around and out, just the reverse installing it with a new seal, only harder.
Should be a piece of cake on the stand.
