My 641 Workmaster idles at 900 rpm. I removed the governor rod and tried to adjust the carb to slow the idle. Unfortunately I can't seem to get it to run slower. I've cranked the main mixture screw all the way in and the back out and also the idle mixture screw in an out. No matter where I set those two screw I can't get the idle down. The other interesting thing is at 900 rpm the idle speed screw does not touch the stop. the throttle plate remains 'open' at idle. If it manually close the throttle plate the rpms drop and the engine stalls. If I let go of the plate the plate opens and the rpm rise to 900. How do I get this thing to slow down?? Thanks, Spud
