John, just to be clear.. wasn't poking fun at you.. just letting you and the OP know that this will be a mechanical fix.. not an electrical ignition problem.
Jmor posted a good cheap easy way that 'should' solve it if ti is a loose ring gear.. without much damage tot he flywheel if he ever tears it down for a complete fix.
