I have a 2N 6volt with a fresh engine and a heater in the lower hose. At 0 degrees I can spend an hour starting the tractor because it cranks so slow or I can plug the heater in and start the tractor like it was 70 degrees outside. The only draw back is the tight close quarters. Takes a bit of fanagling to get the fan to clear. I also have a couple of the magnetic stick on heaters that I use on other tractors. I use these on other tractors and they are great, stick on what ever is needed, 1 second install. All of the dipstick heaters I ever tried ended up burning the end off, I can't recommend that style.
