You may want to submit this to Ed for our HOW-TO's forum too. Member Steve Dabrowski restored his early 9N a few years ago and rebuilt every part on it including the steering box. He ran into some SNAFUs with the original gears as well and had to do some extra work to get them right. His issues with the steering box are available in the Archives here...
