I have a 1939 Sears tool catalog. The saw sold for 23.95.First Federal minimum wage was 25 cents per hour in 1938.My first factory job paid 85 cents per hour in the fifties. The old days were tough going. The saw blade should lift a bit on the return stroke.Blades will last longer.I see dummies on youtube dragging files backward.
