When I dropped it off I believe they intended to use glass beads, but I neglected to ask when I picked it up this morning. They have done all my sheet metal and are very good. I found them from a recommendation by a Rolls Royce restoration shop, they had showed me some aluminum body panels done by them and they were perfect and all my steel stuff has been really good too. They are over in a very tough neighborhood in Oakland, CA, and their pricing is reasonable.
