Governor

Hi all,

I'm slowly fixing little issues that come up as I get the 8n running. I noticed that I don't have very good throttle response. I have to move it to about 1/2 before I get any RPM increases so I looked at the governor today. The linkage attached to the carb. doesn't start to move until the throttle is at 1/2.

Is it the spring in the picture that is too loose? I let the clutch out with the brakes on and it didn't try to rev up when the motor started to bog down.

I'm assuming that its probably the same type found on move 4 cyl 8n's, maybe just a pulley added for the Funk conversion.
