I have owned this 1953 Jubilee 15 years and it has always been great. I have plowed snow with my back grader blade for years with no problem. Yesterday it started to leak oil out the front and I can't seem to identify exactly where the oil is coming from. I just don't think the front main would all of a sudden start leaking this bad.
Could it be leaking from the Governor? I have worked on Ford tractors for 55 years but never worked on the governor. I am asking for some suggestions of where the oil could be coming from. It is on the fan belt and fan throwing oil. It seems that if it was the front main seal leaking, the oil would not be getting up this high but would run down and thru the bottom bracket. I would be very grateful for some suggestions as I need to get this fixed and need to call on the collective knowledge available on this forum. Very cold for a 78 year old to be working on the wrong fix.
