I have had to remove the radiator to replace the drain cock so while I had easy access, I removed the 15/16 nut then the spring/pressure relief valve. Next I squirted a
cup or so of 90 wt oil to re-prime the oil pump (if that is the problem). Also removed and checked the oil pressure gage (checked OK) and also squirted some 90 wt oil into the line at the gage. With the hood and radiator off I am also trying to cure an oil leak where the oil line connects to the governor at the right front of the engine. Next I will re-install the hood/gas tank, fill the radiator and start the engine.
Hopefully the low oil pressure problem will be gone. If not, then I guess it must be the oil pump.
