Hello Rockbiter , It makes no difference ALL 53 and 54 are NAA'S , that's why the SERIAL NUMBER begins with NAA ,and technically it is only a stop gap tractor because of the Ford Ferguson lawsuit over the three point hitch design since all NAA's are just an 8N with a 600 engine with oddball hydraulics for the two years until the 600/800 design was ready for production . Didn't you ever wonder why Ford the KING of MASS PRODUCTION built the 9N/2N/8N between 1939 and 1952 for 14 years with minimal changes then the NAA for 2 years then the 600/800/601/801/2000/4000 tractors between 1954 and 1965 for another 12 years ? it was just to fill in the gap , otherwise there would have been no tractor production until the lawsuit was settled . The emblem on the front of the sheet metal of the 1953 NAA is the same emblem that is on EVERY 1953 CAR AND TRUCK to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Ford Motor Company being business producing cars and trucks 1903-1953 . It actually had nothing to do with tractor production since tractors had only been produced for 36 years at that time 1917-1953 , the 50th year celebration or Golden Jubilee of tractor production would be celebrated in 1967 , which unfortunately was not as big of a deal as the cars and trucks . Thanks Tony Jacobs
