I have confirmed that my pump is keeping primed, so I pulled the top lift cover. When I crank the engine with the cover removed, I have a lot of oil pumped up to the base of the housing (hole in tractor transmission that mates with lift cover).
The cam follower pin is non existent, and looks like it has been ground off smooth with the arm it is in. After much beating on it and heating it with no success, I took the ram cylinder off and started taking the linkages off to get the little piece off so I can get a better direct hit on the old pin. I cannot get the components off the control rod from the handle on the outside, to the parts on the inside so I can slide the rod out. I do not know if the parts need more persuasion or????I need to replace the cork friction gasket too, so I need to take the handle off anyway, but no go.
