Yes, the 9N engine was used in some trucks, Worthington tractors, Industrial stationary engines, Moto-Tugs, and the Ford GPW vehicle. However, on February 10, 1942, all domestic production at FORD ceased due to the US War Board restrictions. Production wasn't started up again until October, 1942,but that was only the warhorse 2N model. By April, 1943 the restrictions had been lifted thanks to Harry Ferguson and they were allowed to go back to rubber wheeled tractors but since supplies were already slim as vendors had to get back up to speed with Ford parts in the pipeline so the line sat idle many days, weeks on end. By the way, it wasn't just FORD that had to abide by the War Board restrictions. ALL US manufacturing companies were under the order as well. The only manufacturing allowed was for wartime ordnance.
