Tim, I bought one that looked like that (cheap) off ebay about 8 years ago. The name "BINFORD" was stamped on the side. I didn't even know what it was at the time, but got on this site and it was "splained" to me.
It seemed like a compact, well-made device, but I never could get it adjusted to work right on my 2N. It would seem to work with the tractor stopped, but start moving and the lift would drift up or down at random. Messed with it off-and-on for about a year then called Zane and bought his device. He was curious about the one I had, so I was happy to sent it to him by return mail (for evaluation and no I didn't want it back). Later, he told me the reason it didn't work was the geometry was all wrong.
