What JMOR and soundguy say is correct. But the pretty picture JMOR posted is deceiving: The roller drawbar (in usable shape) is rare and expensive. soundguys suggestiion of a rotation lock and "staybars" instead of your "swaybars" is another option.
Still another is the kit offered on ebay or at some farm supply stores. With the drawbar kit, you can remove the long piece when it isn't needed and leave the 2 other pieces in place.
Of course, depending on your wife's dispostion, the best suggestion is 2 tractors!
