Back in early November my '49 8N radiator was boiling over at end of a parade. The parage was 2-1/2 hours long. It did the same last week and today. So, I decided to confront the matter by removing the 61 year old upper hose and the thermostat today. Here are three pictures of the hose and thermostat. I put the thermostat in a pot and let the water come to a boil. The thermostat open up about 160 degrees. That is the open rating on the side of the thermostat. So, it's not the thermostat that's causing the problem. Would that be the correct guess?
