I have a questions about the cordwood saw...I am interested in purchasing one of these for use on my woodlot, and to show at an annual farm day event here, but I don't own a 2N,8N, etc tractor. What I do have is a D15 allis and a 1953 Willy truck with a rear PTO. The Allis has a 1-3/8" PTO, but the output is higher on the tractor than the Ford's. The Willys has a square output shaft, but a belt pulley can be found for it. My question is can I adapt the 1-3/8" to a 1-1/8" and use this with the Allis or use it with the Willy truck, although it would have to be set up as a stationary unit since the truck has no lift. I have seen several posts on this forum regarding the cordwood saws, so am looking for advice from some of the experts here. HELP! Thanks!
