Made by the K-P Mfg Co and was one the most innovative features invented for the FORD N Series Tractors. This device was the best thing to quickly change out your wheels/tires with. I used mine all the time switching from my "work clothes" to my "show/church clothes" when I took my 8N to shows and put all the original parts on it. A one-man operation, but would caution anyone using one to always make sure you are not in a spot where you will get trapped against a wall, under a wheel, or get a wheel from out under you. ALWAYS ensure that you have access to the IGN KEY SWITCH, the Touch Control Quadrant Lever, and the PUSHBUTTON START. Getteh lift wher yoiu wnatitand shut down engine. If your hydraulics are weak and in need of a rebuild, you will drift down some. By simply bumping the pushbutton start with no KEY on it will raise the lift back up to where it was set. One thing we know for sure, this device would NOT be allowed on the market today as OSHA would make sure of that.
