I have a 12 volt converted 2n. I just reran all new wires, my dad bought a new coil about a year ago, and gave it a tune up. I just got it up an running this afternoon and after about 15-20 mins of high idle the engine cut out. I let it sit for a minute and then fired it up and it ran on low idle pretty steady and then cut out again. I'm not quite certain if this is a fuel issue or an issue with the coil. I read the wiring diagrams for 12 volt conversions and watch a solid video on 12 volt conversion and it seems I've done all as it should be. My one question is on an additional resistor - the rectangular one, not the square block one. The video I watched and the diagram I saw did not include an additional resistor. Though I've read that I may need one, does anyone think that is the case and if so can someone show me where that may go, where it may mount and how to wire it. ORRRRR could it possibly be just a fuel issue, carb adjustment? The machine doesn't seem to sputter though, it kinda just cuts out so I'm thinking it may be more on an electrical issue....any help would be great! Thank you!
