If you remover the complete shutoff valve/sediment bulb assembly from the fuel tank you will find a tubular screen sticking straight up into the tank.
No. 2 is at the top of the sediment bulb. Accessible by removing the bulb.
No. 3 is in the elbow where the fuel line attaches to the carburetor.
Sounds to me as if you've found the last two. Since you posted to Bruce you had good fuel flow I would not worry about the third screen for now.
You will get some variation in answers but if you will turn both the Idle Air and the Main Jet out 2 turns from their stops it should run. Ford say's one turn on the Main and some on this board say 1 1/2. In that general area should get it running. Bruce has written complete instructions on setting those properly. I believe it is posted in the How-To's.
