As usual, when the facts don't align with your opinion you just get nasty.
One last time on what Ford specified:
The 1954 Hundred Series Owner's manual unambiguously says: Above 10F fill with 9 quarts of M-4864-A
Ford's mid-50's lubricant sales literature unambiguously says: M-4864-A - Ford Tractor Hydraulic Oil - Mild EP SAE 80
I can't make it any simpler or easy to read than that. That is not an opinion it is a statement of fact. I posted scans of both documents for you to see and that is what they clearly say. If you refuse to accept it so be it - I am done with arguing with you about it.
The current discussion is with regard to the properties of automotive and industrial lubricants and how the industry tests and classifies them. If you can't keep pace with the details of modern engineering science and the industry standards process perhaps this discussion is not for you. Since you do not understand it perhaps you should just listen and maybe, just maybe, you might learn something new for a change.
