I have an 8n that I am interested in restoring and would like to have as close to original as possible. Think it is a 1950 (s# 281542) but from what I have been reading it should have a proof meter which it does not (and no place for one on dash). Either I have year wrong, it is a 50 and never had a proofmeter, or the dash was replaced at one time?? Are there other changes that would help me confirm this is A 50? If it originally came with the proof meter I would like to source one and replace during the restore.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
