Appreciate everyones replies on this. My confusion with the year was due to the parts catalogue I have showing the dash with proofmeter port starting at s# 216988. So it is a 1950 as I was always told.
Will be starting some work on it soon. It came from my Fathers farm and I have used it for several years....runs great but has several leaks and dents that I would like to clean up and then give it a new paint job.
