New one on me! Never ever heard of dwell expressed in terms of "time points are open"?? Not categorically saying that he is wrong, but I need to see it in something that looks original/official before I file that away in my old gray matter. :)
Need to re-visit my side mount, but I can say with certainty that 55 degrees dwell is out of the question (not even in same ballpark) for my front mount, because to achieve 55 degrees, the gap is closed down to a point between 0.001 and 0.002 inch, at which point all the spark energy is wasted in the tiny point gap!
