I am in the process of completely tearing down and rebuilding my 1944 2N (sherman Tran) When it was last used (about 6 years ago) it had a clunking sound coming from what I thought was the left brake drum. I figured that I had a pad off and it was hangind in the drum as I drove it. Now that I have it torn down I cant see anything wrong with either side of the brakes. I pulled the axle case off the side of the tractor, both sides to tighten up the nuts holding the hitch arms and on the left side one (only one) of the rivets that hold the ring gear was loose. It doesnt look to me like that could have been my noise but does anyone else have an opinion or experience with this????
