The math shows 17505 units apart but in reality not all that far away. Tractor production was at least 350 units a day to possibly 500, so using 400 as a factor, that puts them about 45 days apart. Castings would be made by the thousands at least thirty days prior to being machined. They probably didn't keep any type of chronological order as the castings were stored then pulled at random for machining after 'curing' for thirty days or so. As blocks got machined and assembled, they had to pass Quality Control Final Inspection BEFORE they got hand-stamped with a serial number and moved onto the production line to mate up with a tractor.
