How much does a 6v generator charge at?
What if the generator charges at say 12 volts. Will the VR stop letting current to the battery from the generator?
I ask because I thought the VR just saw that the battery needed a charge and let the voltage get to the battery and then cut it off when the battery is full. I didn't know that it could monitor the voltage from the generator to the battery.
Do I need to see what the output of the generator is to adjust it to the correct output voltage?
I have the funk conversion, and my wiring is run inside clips that are under head bolts. I haven't figured out how I want to tackle it yet, but I will in the next few weeks.
