We've got ten acres at 4,400 feet elevation on the backslope of the San Gabriels, dry as a bone, Joshua Tree and Creosote bush country. We want to lay in a PVC water system, and a walk behind trencher is a joke - too old for that. Just running 100 feet of pipe took a whole weekend. Impossible to try in late spring and summer.
We've heard that cable companies use some kind of plow attachment that goes down to eighteen inches - which would be more than enough to keep us old people out of the Emergency Room.
Got any ideas? It's all desert dirt.
