Anybody on the board know who bought the early 9N off Craigslist in the Alton, Illinois area. The picture showed 32" rears, CM Hall lamps, original single rib front tires, tool box, hood in very nice condition, grille, right fender, and snap-in battery cover missing, but was told that he knew where they were. I tried to get the guy to commit to a sale over the phone, but he insisted that he wouldn't sell it unless I looked at it first. I told him that I could see what it looked like from the picture on CL, but he would not budge from his position. He said something about a couple guys looking at it and not wanting it because it was geared too high. He denied that there was a lever on the left side of the tranny, so I have to assume that he had a Sherman step-up cable operated tranny in it and it was stuck in high gear. My guess is that the cable was long gone. By the time that I finished breakfast and called back to let him know that I was coming to buy the tractor, he had already sold it to someone. I hate missing deals like that. Price - $1,300.
