Keith....you say....The radiator caps usually are rated between 13-15 psig.
I say....the 8n radiator cap is rated at 4 PSI.Don't know how this would effect your calculations.We have painted many tractors using Tisco oil based NH RED[old IH red][TP 480] alkyd enamel paint,including the engines with no effect on the color.All red paint color I have ever seen can be affected by the sun or oil.That is why we don't use tractor parts that were installed on tractors to help ID colors. We do use high temp paint on the manifolds tho.We also put a gallon of anti-freeze in radiators and use high temp black paint for them. don b
