since polerization won't hurt the genny.
it's probably a safe call to repolarize if you remove the battery, IN CASE you have accidentally swapped polarity.
if you disassembled the genny, or replaced parts.. i'd repol too.

ps.. every time you shut your tractor off, armature is disconnected from battery via cutout.
and no.. cutout does not get polarized...
