I think donb is correct. I am looking at the drawing for 9N-8575-A3 and it says the part was released in Sept1952. It also requires FOMOCO trademark and to "stamp part no. and opening temp. & date" on it. The opening temp tolerance is "Valve must start to open at 157-162 degrees F. There could be more than one supplier.
