Fred.....lots of folks think they are correct,when they are not.I don't know much,but I do know that the FOMOCO logo did not exist in 1948.If as you say,look at the logos on all the other original parts,if they are original for that 1948,the logo will be an oval with Ford inside,no FOMOCO.However,you have a genuine Ford part,and it's age does not matter to me.Your mileage may vary. don b
