Points Dwell For Ford Tractors

I note that the 1962 Ford Tractor Service Specs Hand Book calls for the 8N to model 4040 Ford points dwell should be set at 27 to 31 degrees. However on my own web site I state that the consensus among Ford tractor owners is that the dwell should be set at 55 to 60 degrees ;o( . My own 8N side mount has been set at 55 degrees for a couple of years and runs great.

I would like to get comments from others that set their points with a dwell meter as to what dwell works best on their Ford tractor.
