You say.....To be technically correct the engine should be painted with higher rated temperature engine paint rather than general purpose paint,but not the high temperature paint as used on exhaust pipes and manifolds.

I say.....did you check the temperature of the engine after it has run for 4 hours.

I say....I doubt the engine temperature will ever reach 250F,more like 200F. don b
